Google Play Newsstand gets revamped with new Material Design look

Google play Newstand

The Google Play Newsstand app is rolling out a new look that incorporates the Material Design choices that are a part of the upcoming Android L release. Google says this will allow the online magazine and reading app to have "bigger images, more contextual headers and smoother transitions."

In a blog post, Google states:

Today's redesign brings a new magazine reading experience on your phone. In the past, print magazines have been hard to read on a small screen, zooming in and out to skim an article. But now you'll see a list of articles from the magazine that you can toggle through and easily read with big images right on your phone.

The new update will also let users access "deeper topic cards in the Explore section" and the app itself should be faster as well. What do you think of the changes in the Google Play Newsstand app?
