Officially recalled twice, pulled off the shelves and discontinued, the Galaxy Note 7 is costing Samsung billions of dollars. More worrying for the company, the Note 7 fiasco may have already alienated some customers. Trying to regain the trust of US consumers, Samsung ran full page apology ads in three major US daily newspapers. The letters, which appeared in Monday editions of The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times , and The Washington Post , were aimed at English-speaking consumers, according to The Korean Herald . New Android Wear update rolling out to Samsung Gear Live

We have confirmed this on our own and other members of our forums have also reported getting the same update . The update changes the version number of Android Wear to 4.4W.1 . Google reps stated in an interview earlier this week that this week's update will "improve the navigation experience and some of the voice action experience." Google Now voter registration reminder makes performing your civic duty easier to remember

It looks like Google has updated Google Now on its end so that the digital assistant will now remind users to perform their civic duties and register to vote. With Google's server-side change, users should automatically begin seeing a new card when Google Now is activated to remind them to register to vote and when the general election date is. As this is reported to be a Google-side change, users will not have to update the Google Search app on their Android phones to receive the new voter reminder card. At this time, we haven't been able see the new Google Now card in California nor Ohio.
