The Moto 360 with the Pebble Steel bracelet

Sure, the Horween Leather on the Moto 360 is mighty fine, but watches are all about customization, particularly when it comes to the straps. But because of the size and shape of the Moto 360, we've had to be a little careful of shoving just any old strap in there. A good many have turned out to just be too thick to fit in the curved plastic casing.

Meanwhile, a good many of us are waiting for the official steel bracelets to be made available (at a hefty a la carte price of $79.99). But it turns out that you might already have an alternative on hand, or can get one for a mere $20.

For that, we turn to Pebble Steel.

As it turns out, the Pebble Steel bracelet is a near perfect fit for the Moto 360. Close enough, anyway. All you need to do is unscrew the bracelet from a Pebble Steel (sorry, ol' pal), swap in the 22mm spring pins from your Moto 360 leather strap (or just use new pins if you want), and you're on your way.

It's possible that you'll need to add back any links you'd previously removed, as the bracelet will fit just a wee bit tighter because of the thickness of the Moto 360 body. But otherwise, it's a pretty quick swap.

If you don't have a Pebble Steel, you can pick up a spare bracelet for just $19.99.

Thanks, Brian, Chris et al!
