Samsung has just launched a new app as part of its enterprise and business themed KNOX mobile security division called My KNOX, designed to offer better protection for employees who use their own smartphones for work.
At the moment, the app only works on the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the upcoming Galaxy Note 4, and it also requires a free Microsoft Account. Samsung says:
My KNOX is a fast and easy way to get access to your work email and key business apps without requiring IT admin support. My KNOX separates your work from your personal life on your device. This provides a secure and productive way to access work email and apps while also protecting your personal privacy. Personal apps and data such as photos can be kept private from your company. Also, if your device is lost or stolen you can remotely lock, find or wipe your device with the My KNOX user portal.
Samsung has also announced two new security subscription programs for IT managers. One is the free KNOX Express that offers some basic mobile security systems, while the other is the paid KNOX Premium, which contains some extra features. Would you use this new My KNOX app for your work needs?
