Unlocked Mobiles in the UK has started taking pre-orders for the upcoming Samsung Gear S smartwatch, with shipments scheduled to begin on October 24.
The retailer has a price of £334.98 for the Tizen-based smartwatch. A couple of weeks ago, Samsung announced that all four major wireless carriers in the US (Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile) would begin selling the Samsung Gear S later this fall, but there's been no word on a price or a specific launch date for the device from those sources.
Just a reminder: The Samsung Gear S will have a 2-inch curved AMOLED display, support for 2G and 3G wireless networks and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth hardware. Inside there will be a 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM and a 300mAh battery that is supposed to last up to two days.
