HTC Nexus 9 inbound

We may not have to wait long for HTC's upcoming Nexus 9, as it is being reported that the tablet is slated to launch on October 15 for $399.

Also seemingly confirmed is the presence of Nvidia's Tegra K1 chip within the tablet, which should provide considerable prowess when it comes to gaming thanks to a 192-core GPU. While Nvidia's Tegra line of chipsets have been used over the years in various smartphones and tablets, battery life has always been an area of concern when compared to Qualcomm's offerings in this segment. In terms of design, earlier leaks have indicated that the tablet will feature a matte-style finish as well as a more squarish look.

Bright Side of News states that the Nexus 9 will be available starting November 3, and that it won't be limited to the Play Store. Google is said to be targeting a broad release, which should see the tablet being offered on several e-tailers along with brick and mortar stores. The cost of the Nexus 9 has also been leaked, which is said to be $399, much higher than what earlier generations of the Nexus tablets cost. As far as the software is concerned, the Nexus 9 is expected to be the first device to offer Android L out of the box.

What do you think of the pricing of the Nexus 9? Are you interested in picking up the tablet?
