Alongside the Desire Eye and RE camera, HTC has today announced that its "Zoe" video-sharing and editing app has exited beta, and will arrive on Android shortly as Zoe ver. 1.0. During the beta period, Zoe was limited to Sense 6 phones and just a handful of non-HTC devices; Zoe 1.0 sees the app becoming more broadly available for Android handsets. (And we're already seeing it marked as compatible for devices like the LG G3, Sony Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and Huawei Ascend Mate 7.)
So what else is new in the stable Zoe release? In today's press release HTC touts its updated content engine, allowing Zoe clips to consist of just a few photos, or several video clips. Even individual images, HTC says, can be presented in an "interesting, visually stunning way." The app is also fully integrated with HTC's first dedicated camera device, the RE camera, which is due to launch in the U.S. later this month.
HTC Zoe 1.0 will become available today on Google Play fro Android users. An iOS version will launch "later this year."
