Motorola has started selling the new Moto G in India, with the device on offer for Rs. 12,999 ($215) via Flipkart. Available in black and white color combinations, the 16 GB Moto G is priced lower than its first-gen equivalent, which debuted at Rs. 13,999 in the country earlier this year.

Flipkart is offering a host of promotions for buyers purchasing the new Moto G, which include a 50 percent discount on accessories like cases and covers. Other offers include a 70 percent discount on an annual subscription of any digital magazine from the India Today Group, free eBooks worth up to Rs. 1,000 by downloading Flipkart's eBooks app, and selected discounts of up to Rs. 6,000 on other Flipkart products.

As for what's changed, the new Moto G features a bigger 5-inch 720p display, a microSD card slot, better 8 MP camera at the back and a new design that features stereo speakers at the front. The device comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box, and if you're worried about future Android updates, Motorola India has announced a guaranteed update to Android L when it is available.
